Company ProfileWolfgang and Marie-Louise Schaefer founded BOOKART in 1985 in Melbourne, Australia Wolfgang Schaefer has been a Master-Bookbinder since 1970, keeping alive a family trade which was established three generations ago. Wolfgang has over 40 years experience in hand-bookbinding, industrial production, planning and supervision of unique and bulk orders. As an examiner of the chief administrator of Cologne (Germany), Wolfgang has been involved in the training of apprentices to become professionally qualified and attain their master’s degree. His membership of the trade executive of the bookbinding guild in Cologne is an assurance of quality to clients, as he continues this very rich family tradition with his daughter Simone.
